
Lina Tonev is a contemporary artist working in the fields of visual and digital arts. In her projects, she explores technology, man and their interaction.
She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Systems and Technologies from the Technical University of Sofia and is currently pursuing a PhD in Digital Arts at the National Academy of Art, Sofia. Lina teaches “Introduction to Programming for Artists” and “Interactive Animation” in the Master’s program in Digital Arts at the same institution.
She also creates and leads interactive workshops for children across both large and small cities in Bulgaria, combining artistic and technological approaches.
Her work was featured in the Athens Digital Arts Festival (2023), Athens Photo Festival (2022), and she received 1st place in the DIY Photo Book competition (2021) organized by Photosynthesis and Europapier Bulgaria.
